Why You Need to Become Stronger to Relieve Joint Pain

An injury to the joint oftentimes results in inflammation, swelling, muscle tightness, and a restricted range of motion. This is a normal immune response – the body goes into a self-protection and self-protection mode to prevent further tissue damage. Prolonged inflammation, muscle tightness, and decreased movement can lead to muscle weakness. Therefore, to reduce neck, back, and joint pain, you need to restore normal muscle balance, by stretching and strengthening. Muscle imbalance can lead to poor posture, which can further increase back pain.
How Do I Know If My Muscles Are Weakened?
You get tired easily. Sitting, standing, or walking for a short period of time is painful, difficult, or fatiguing. In addition, moving your torso, or extremities (arms and legs) requires effort; and it feels heavy. There are health conditions that cause “true” muscle weakness, such as myasthenia gravis and neuropathy. However, there are conditions that result in muscle weakness, that are temporary, such as muscle strain (e.g., overstretching of the muscle tissues to the point that results in micro-tears).
What To Do If My Muscles Are Weakened?
If you are muscles are weakened due to an injury – such as a muscle strain; and not nerve damage, as in the case of myasthenia gravis, then exercise is a solution. Performing physical activity or exercises regularly will help to rebuild your muscle strength and endurance. Exercises such as pull-ups, push-ups, dips, crunches, and planks are good. For more specific exercises for strengthening your back muscles, check out Say Goodbye to Back Pain! Exercise, Nutrition, and More! it has more than 20 exercises for the back (including the neck) that do not require any additional equipment.
